The District Contest Finals were held in Napier in Mid June which featured a large number of Youth Orchestra Players. Congratulations to you all for playing so well. The following players made the finals groups and were awarded as follows

Nesta Lade ( Highly Commended), Christopher Eldridge ( Highly Commended), Ivy Wu ( Highly Commended) , Ivan Wu ( KBB prize for percussion ( Piano)), Ariela Vasquez ( KBB prize for group with wind Instrument), Alejandro Vasquez ( Highly Commended), Bella Greig ( Highly Commended).

In addition the following players also participated in groups in the preliminaries

Jasmin Norton, Samantha Anderson, Rebecca Oushana, Jerusha Oushana, Lasisa Oushana, Hone Kanawa, Greer McCarthy, Holly Wogan.
