The Youth Orchestra were generously gifted the opportunity to spend the morning of the 15th September with members of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra following their concert held at the Napier Municipal Theatre.

The Youth Orchestra was divided into their respective sections to receive classes from the NZSO members.  The experience was invaluable to all the YO and everyone took away a new found skill and deeper understanding of their instrument and music.

The Hawke’s Bay Orchestral Society and the YO would like to thank the benefactor of this incredible opportunity, the members of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Jane Pierard for arranging the venue.  Thank you also to Sue Melville and Paul and Tara Brizzle for all your work behind the scenes.
